2024 AMBA Annual General Meeting - Recap

The Australian Multiple Birth Association successfully hosted its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, 26 October 2024, at the Jasper Boutique Hotel in Melbourne, Victoria. We were delighted to welcome a vibrant gathering of members, volunteers, and members of our multiple-birth community who joined us for this important event.

Meeting Highlights

During the meeting, members had the opportunity to:

• Ask questions about the operations and finances of AMBA
• Speak about any items on the agenda

The key decisions made included:

• Acceptance of the minutes of the last annual general meeting
• Ratification of the host for the next convention
• Appointment of a patron and an auditor

Prior to the meeting, members participated in online voting to:

• Proposed resolutions
• Elect directors

All member-clubs were invited to participate in the AGM either through appointed delegates who attended in person or by providing proxy authority. Proxy details were collected via an online form provided in the Notice of Meeting email sent to member-clubs on 28 September 2024.

The AGM coincided with a highly successful convention weekend, which provided a great opportunity for networking, sharing experiences, and discussing future directions for AMBA. The collective enthusiasm and contributions of all attendees made this an enriching and successful event.
